Axel Bruse and Jörg Wolter, Geschäftsführer von Bruse+Wolter GbR PortaQualitySolutions aus Porta Westfalica, kennen sich schon seit ihrer frühen Jugend.

In den ersten 30 Jahren haben die Freunde gemeinsam Flugmodellbau betrieben, sie spezialisierten sich in Richtung Hightech Segelflug und nahmen an nationalen und internationalen Meisterschaften teil. Hier war ein Highlight die Weltmeisterschaft in der Nähe von Melbourne in Australien.

In 2006 haben Sie mit dem Bau von Ultraleichtflugzeugen begonnen.

2008 der erste Flug mit dem selbstgebauten Flieger, ein Kiebitz mit ULPower Antrieb, war definitiv ein unvergesslicher Moment. Ständig die sichtbaren Schrauben im Blick, dazu die Motordaten, immer die Frage im Kopf funktioniert alles? Dann das unbeschreibliche Gefühl des Fliegens in einem offenen Doppeldecker – unbezahlbar.

In 2010 wurde die Firma gegründet.  PortaQualitySolutions hat sich spezialisiert auf den Bau von  Kiebitzen, Motorenumbauten,  Reparatur und Grundüberholungen von ULs . Durch die sehr genaue Auswahl Ihrer Zulieferer und Partnerfirmen sind Sie in der Lage qualitativ hochwertige Produkte und Dienstleistungen anzubieten.

So ist PQS auch Händler für Helix Propeller, Oratex und diverser eigener Produkte.

Jeder der Männer hat seine Spezialität: Jörg ist GFK (Glasfaserverstärkter Kunstoff) Techniker und kümmert sich um der Wartung der ULPower Antriebe. Axel macht CNC Fräsen und Elektronik.

Auch Fynn, Jörg´s Sohn, ist vom Fliegen begeistert.  Er beginnt ab August eine Ausbildung als Luftfahrtgerätemechaniker (Triebwerkstechnik) bei der Lufthansa und  arbeitet als Aushilfe mit in der Firma.

Mittlerweile betreiben Jörg und Axel 3 eigene Kiebitze  und sind damit damit deutschlandweit unterwegs. Mehr als 1000 Stunden haben die Antriebe schon!  Aufgrund der Optik des Fliegers ist er immer ein Publikumsmagnet und Hingucker. Die Leute sind immer beeindruckt von der Performance des Antriebs, aber auch das Startverhalten, die Zuverlässigkeit und die niedrigen Wartungs- und Unterhaltungskosten überzeugen Motorenliebhaber.

The skywards looking duo started off making radio controlled model aircraft, but soon started building and flying their own gliders.  After participating in several National and International championships, they made it to the world championship in Australia!

Not satisfied to fly without an engine, in 2006 they started building Ultralights/microlight aircraft and expanded their skills in new directions.

In 2008, they undertook their first flight with their self-built ULPowered Kiebitz; an unforgettable moment that left their eyes shooting from the propeller blades to the instruments, monitoring engine readings, and back again – hoping that everything was going to plan – and checking for any anomalies.  The unparalleled excitement of finally flying in their own open-cockpit biplane was finally upon them, something which only a few can know, and understand!

Porta Quality Solutions (PQS), founded in 2010, and specialises in building Kiebitz Aircraft, replacing engines as well as the repair and maintenance of UL aircraft.

Working together with reliable suppliers and partners, enabled PQS to offer their customers high quality products and an excellent service.  Furthermore, they are distributors for Helix Propellers and Oratex in addition to several of their own products.

Jörg is an experienced GFK technician and does ULPower maintenance.   Axel loves CNC machining and Electronics. Together, they make a great team.

As much as flying is in this team’s blood, it is contagious too, and Jörg’s son has also fallen in love with aviation.   He will start his training as an Aircraft mechanic with Lufthansa in August, and is also helping in PQS – keeping it in the family!

Jorg und Axel are proud owners of three Kiebitz planes and love to give demonstration flights all over Germany.  The ULPower engines have flown more than 1000 hours, proving that they are the right powerplant for the airframe.  These aircraft are real eyecatchers, and there are always many interested people at the fly-ins where the Kiebitz are scheduled to land.

When asked about the ULPower engine, Axel replies “People are really impressed by the performance of the ULP engine. It is simple, reliable, easy to start and the maintenance costs are low too!
