ULPower network expanding: new sales & service point in Saudi Arabia.

Aeronautica Aviation Services, a Saudi Arabia based organization, operating from Banban Airfield has recently become the ULPower dealer for the Middle East. Last Friday they visited the ULPower factory to follow a training class on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting the ULPower engines.

Fawaz AlSaleh, the Managing Director of Aeronautica Aviation Services has many years of experience and good exposure in the aviation field. When asked how it all started he explains:

Since I enjoy working with engines and have been overhauling engines as a hobby for over 20 years from my model airplane gas engine when I was 15 years old to my motorcycle engines, I decided to follow my passion and study Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.

This opened many doors where I was able to work with the Ministry of Defence Research Center (PSDSARC) and served several roles simultaneously as a design engineer, propulsion engineer, manufacturing engineer and a test pilot developing UAVs. This exposed me to a tremendous amount of experience in a relatively short time of 6 years. I have then decided to pursue my Masters in Systems Engineering in the United Kingdom, which was followed by my appointment as a Program Manager at a Military Industries Corporation.

My business partner and I both enjoy the privilege of flying privately in our piston engine powered aircraft and throughout the years have faced many challenges in maintenance and overhauls due to the lack of service providers in the region. Since then we decided to create Aeronautica to serve the emerging industry of General Aviation and home built aircraft with a particular focus on piston powered engines and propellers.

We are also the local partner for Proptech Aero Ltd a UK MRO company certified from Hartzell, McCauley, Sensenich, MT-propeller and many more to overhaul propellers in their UK shop and supported by a regional Hartzell Service and Support Center (SSC) in the United Arab Emirates.

With the expanding network, reputation and clients of ULPower around the globe and its remarkable quality, we noticed that there wasn’t a ULPower sales and service centre in the Middle East yet.  We are convinced that there is a market for the modern engines in this region and we are happy to be given the opportunity to be part of the ULPower family and promote these engines to the local aviation companies and aircraft builders.
