Metal Seagulls Ltd, the UK and Ireland ULPower dealer, are pleased to announce that Eccleston Aviation Ltd has been appointed as an official Service Centre for ULPower Aero Engines in the UK. Simon Worthington, Managing Director of the Lancashire based maintenance company, undertook product specific training at the Metal Seagulls ULPower Training Facility at Sleap Airfield covering ULPower familiarisation, service and line maintenance. Simon has equipped his mobile workshop with the special tools necessary to provide his clients with engine service in accordance with the ULPower manuals as part of the process, and states, “Eccleston Aviation has 22 years of experience serving the UK microlight and light aircraft community, and we are excited at adding support for the growing number of ULPower users in the UK.”
ULPower have been producing Aero Engines since 2006 and offer a range of 4- and 6-cylinder FADEC direct drive, air/oil cooled engines for non-certified aircraft builders ranging from 97 to 200hp. The UK dealer, Metal Seagulls, with headquarters at Sleap Airfield, is working towards a national coverage of trained and experienced maintenance personnel through Service Centres such as Eccleston Aviation.
“We are thrilled to have Simon trained for working with ULPower engines and Eccleston Aviation as a Service Centre,” explained Patricia Mawuli Porter of Metal Seagulls, adding, “We have worked with Simon on different projects over the past few years, and he will add a great deal to the UK’s ULPower support team.”
For those who prefer to maintain their engines themselves, there are also ULPower familiarisation, service and installation courses available for individuals at the Metal Seagulls ULPower Training Facility in Shropshire.
